Truly inspired by the English landscape, my passion is visiting different parts of the countryside, finding endless vignettes of natural beauty, which motivates me to test and further my painting, printing and textile skills.
I have a BA hons in Art and Arts Management and studied under Nan Malone Textiles in Virginia before moving to New York to work in the Fashion Industry during the 1980’s. In the meantime, I've been fortunate enough to teach Art and Design to a selection of the country's young and burgeoning talent, spending a number of years teaching in some of the U.K.'s leading secondary schools.
Recently I have had the opportunity to devote more time to my own practice and have enjoyed pushing forward new ideas for printing and experimenting further with oil and watercolour mediums. I have also continued my exploration of nature through the imaginative use of stitching, printing and textiles.
During the last six years I have been teaching adults part time at numerous locations around Berkshire and Oxfordshire and am a regular exhibitor at Art Weeks and in galleries.
