CAROLINE STREATFIELD-CHALK

I was born in London in 1969, with a childhood spent living in Wales, Sheffield and Reading thanks to the fact my parents worked in a number of different Universities - I developed a love of learning and exploring early on!

I studied at Berkshire College of Art & Design in Maidenhead in the 80’s then finished off my education with a PGCE at Reading University.  I have over 15 years’ experience as an art tutor ,and I have taught all age groups. I love teaching and imparting knowledge learnt over the years. It’s really exciting when people enjoy my classes and I love watching them develop in confidence.

As well as teaching I am a full time artist, I like to work in all Mediums and I am currently painting on silk.

I have exhibited my work at The Henley Festival, The Old Fire Station, Henley, The Henley Art’s trail amongst others.

If you ever go into Reading you may have already seen my designs on the Ready bikes as my Hollyhocks painting won the  Ready bike competition in 2015 and is  on the back of the bikes.
