Experimental Stencil Screenprinting with Collage:
Sunday 1st November
10am - 4pm
Beginners very welcome, I will offer step by step guidance throughout the day. With visual presentation and demonstrations. We will be exploring many Screenprinting techniques, these will be very experimental and hands on.
During this workshop you will learn:
How to use a squeegee to push ink through a screen onto paper, card, fabric, etc.
How to create images using cut or ripped stencils.
Use layering to produce instant, bold prints.
How you can express your own style through mark making, collage, use of texture, colour choice and composition.
Advice on how to edition and mount your work.
I will bring along all materials and equipment needed,
however screen printing can get a little messy so it’s a good idea to bring along an
apron. If you have any specific papers or surfaces that you would
like to print on then please do bring them along.
You may find it helpful to bring drawings, ideas, printouts, sketchbooks etc. however this is not essential as the workshop will focus mainly on learning the screenprint process and the experimental techniques that surround it.

Tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable.
PLEASE NOTE: as of March 2020 we have had to add VAT to all our prices - to minimise this added expense for you, we have lowered our workshop and course prices before added the 20%. This means the prices are a little bit higher, but we (the school and tutor) have absorbed some of the extra cost. We apologise for the slight price increase.
A One Day Screenprinting Workshop with Liam Biswell (Nov)
All of our glorious tutors are self-employed which means that if a student cancels and we are unable to fill the space, this leaves our tutor in the lurch – missing out on one student’s fees can have a big impact on a tutor’s income. Please be considerate. We ask that you make extra sure that you are able to make the dates of this course before booking as we regret, we are unable to offer refunds. We reserve the right to cancel a class in unusual circumstances. We try to avoid this wherever possible, but sometimes it cannot be avoided. In this situation, of course, a full refund will be given. We're sorry but the Henley School of Art can not be financially responsible for extreme weather conditions or any other situations that are out of our control.
