Monday Evening Creative Club with Nicky Savage

13th January - 23rd March 2020

Please note: there will be no class on the following dates:

17th February (Half Term)

Monday evenings: 7pm - 9.15pm

10 weeks of Creative Exploration for all abilities!

As the name suggests, these gloriously creative, weekly classes will help you to explore a wide range of drawing, painting, printmaking, collage and mark making techniques.  It's a real opportunity to indulge in 2 hours of letting your inner artist out and who knows where that will lead?!

Our emphasis will be on introducing you to ways of manipulating line, tone, colour, collage and mixed media. We will work through how these basic elements can interact with each other (as well as stand alone) and how to form compositions in many playful and exciting ways.

We will start off by exploring the more traditional observational drawing and painting skills and then, as the term develops, we will try to expand on what we've learnt, combining our skills with more abstract and playful explorations.  We'll be looking at colour, surface pattern and mark making, including some simple print-making and typographical techniques.

This course will give you the opportunity to truly gain confidence in your own skills, develop your visual intuition and most importantly, to let loose at the end of the day for two glorious hours of creative freedom!!

The Creative Club is suitable for all abilities.

Age 17+ (no exceptions - for more info. on our Young Adult courses, click here: Young Adults Workshops)

Creative Club with Nicky Savage - (Spring Term) Monday Evenings, a 10 week term

  • All of our glorious tutors are self-employed which means that if a student cancels and we are unable to fill the space, this leaves our tutor in the lurch – missing out on one student’s fees can have a big impact on a tutor’s income. Please be considerate. We ask that you make extra sure that you are able to make the dates of this course before booking as we regret, we are unable to offer refunds.  We reserve the right to cancel a class in unusual circumstances. We try to avoid this wherever possible, but sometimes it cannot be avoided. In this situation, of course, a full refund will be given. We're sorry but the Henley School of Art can not be financially responsible for extreme weather conditions or any other situations that are out of our control.
