Experimental Life Drawing with Nicky Savage
Saturday 6th June 2020 - 10am - 4pm
In these workshops we will explore how you can develop and extend you life-drawing skills to produce experimental and intuitive pieces of visual work.
Using the figure/life model as a point of visual reference you will be encouraged to develop an extended body of work that plays with line, tone, colour and collage and the figure as shape. These workshops are not about learning traditional structured/observational life drawing techniques but they will allow you to explore figurative elements in a playful and experimental way to produce interesting and exciting mixed media pieces of work.
The workshops will encourage you to play with a variety of drawing, painting and mixed media and collage techniques. We will explore the use of the figure in relation to abstraction and as a means to push your work in different directions.
Familiarity with Life Drawing would be helpful but not essential for this workshop.
