Learn to Paint Autumn Fruits using Watercolour & Pencil with Jonathan Newey

Course description

This is a one day workshop that will give you the tools and knowledge to paint an arrangement of Autumnal Fruit using watercolour and pencil on smooth watercolour paper. 
During the day you will learn how to get the basic colours and tones of the fruit down with watercolour and then how to use the coloured pencils to add texture and details. By the end of the day you will have painted a beautiful, unique painting to take home and have the knowledge to paint many more!
Tools and materials required please:
1 x size 8 or 10 round watercolour brush
1 x size 2 or 4 round watercolour brush. 
Watercolour paint: either tubes or pans 
A set of good quality coloured pencils (or watercolour pencils) we suggest any of the following: 
Derwent, Faber Castell, Caran Dache, Daler Rowney or WH Smith.
1 x water receptacle (jam jar or plastic container)
Kitchen roll
1 x 2B and 1 x 4B pencil
An eraser and a pencil sharpener.
Smooth watercolour paper will be provided by the tutor at a cost of £1 per student.
You are welcome to bring along any tools and materials you may already have and are familiar with.
The above list is a basic set of tools and materials required when attending the workshop. You may bring other tools and materials such as different brushes, paper and colours that you are more familiar with.

PLEASE NOTE: as of March 2020 we have had to add VAT to all our prices - to minimise this added expense for you, we have lowered our workshop and course prices before added the 20%. We try to avoid this wherever possible, but sometimes it cannot be avoided. In this situation, of course, a full refund will be given.
