Using over 25 years of Life Drawing experience, Jo has put together this Beginner's and Intermediates course - designed to be a fun way to get into the fantastic practice of Drawing from Life - great for first-time students and 'rusty' artists alike.

Packed full of inside tips, experimenting with different materials, encouragement, inspiring exercises and huge enthusiasm - these weekly sessions will engage you, fill you with know-how and fire up those creative juices!

Each week you’ll be drawing one of our wonderful live models and looking at a new element of the body, including proportion/foreshortening/tone/shadow.  Jo will get you learning how to tackle detail without the terror (including those all too scary faces, hands and feet), she will demystify these drawing ‘blocks’, giving you the opportunity to play around with different mediums, paper types, extreme lighting and many more brilliant things jammed in.

The overall aim is to give you the tools to draw so that you can find your own drawing style and really let loose!!

All levels are most welcome.

There's no need to bring anything - all materials are provided

Age 17+ (no exceptions)

Due to an extremely small admin team, the time it takes up and the financial difficulty it causes the HSA, we are unable to offer refunds / transfers to another session / gift vouchers for orders made in error, changed plans or a changed mind. Please bear this in mind BEFORE placing an order.

We are unable to offer refunds / transfers to another session / gift vouchers for forgotten/missed sessions which are the responsibility of the purchaser.

In the extremely rare case where a refund is issued there will be a service charge taken for our time and the payment/booking charges we have incurred.

If it's our fault:

If you're unable to attend the session through a mishap/error on our part, we will make sure you are provided with a voucher to attend any forthcoming sessions of the same type - alternatively we will issue a refund or find another solution.

The income from all our sessions is used to pay for our brilliant tutors, models & the rent on our studio, overheads and of course to pay the salaries of the hard working folk behind the scenes. ​
