About the Event

An intro to Narrative Collage with Jo Harris

Sunday 20th March 2022

2pm - 5pm

Come and play with images colour and pattern - enjoy an afternoon of cutting out and sticking down - it really is a GLORIOUS way to spend some time.

Come along and enjoy our beautiful Studio whilst you leaf through vintage (and new) magazines, books, maps and all sorts, plundering them for the perfect image.  We'll be looking at how to tell a story all on just one page - piecing together all the images, pattern and words we find to make it a finished artwork.  You'll be given a theme to follow, to create a story (or narrative) and Jo will guide you in the images you choose, how to place them - the concept of context/juxtaposition/background and so much more.

All materials are provided, as is tea, coffee and biscuits - if you have any magazine or ephemera you'd like to bring along - the more you have, the more there is to plunder - you'll never look at a magazine the same way EVER again!!

Age 15+ (no exceptions)

PLACES ARE NON-REFUNDABLE & NON-TRANSFERABLE - if your plans change, please don't ask us to refund/transfer your place (have a look at our t's & c's below for more info).

Duration: 3 hours

PLEASE READ THIS BEFORE MAKING A BOOKING:

IF YOU HAVE TO MISS A SESSION

Due to an extremely small admin team, the time it takes up and the financial difficulty it causes the HSA, we are unable to offer refunds / transfers to another session / gift vouchers for orders made in error, changed plans or a changed mind. Please bear this in mind BEFORE placing an order.

We are unable to offer refunds / transfers to another session / gift vouchers for forgotten/missed sessions which are the responsibility of the purchaser.

In the extremely rare case where a refund is issued there will be a service charge taken for our time and the payment/booking charges we have incurred.

If it's our fault:

If you're unable to attend the session through a mishap/error on our part, we will make sure you are provided with a voucher to attend any forthcoming sessions of the same type - alternatively we will issue a refund or find another solution.

The income from all our sessions is used to pay for our brilliant tutors, models & photographers, the rent on our studio, overheads and of course to pay the salaries of the hard working folk behind the scenes.
