Perfect for anyone that has attended a beginners workshop, or those with a basic understanding of Modern Calligraphy.

In this workshop you'll get to learn how to develop your own unique Modern Calligraphy style, improve your overall technique and be introduced to metallic ink and different surfaces.  Working with a written quote or phrase, we'll be focussing on improving your overall modern calligraphy technique, exploring spacing, joining and proportions, with the aim of creating a finished piece at the end of the class.

The cost includes your very own calligraphy kit (worth £20)

What's in the kit?

Your pen & nib, metallic ink and coloured cards and tags as well as a workbook of exercises and tips, so you can continue practicing at home.

What will I be making?

You’ll learn to create beautiful cards and tags for any occasion, to wow your friends and family. This class is perfect for those looking to unlock their creativity and explore the art of calligraphy.

There will be plenty of time to practice as well as 1-to-1 guidance throughout the class, helping you to find your flow.

For those who have been developing their practice at home, please do feel free to bring along and share any projects that you’re working on or need any help with.

This class is not suitable for complete beginners. Attendees should have previous experience with pointed pen calligraphy.

The course includes all resources

Please wear suitable clothing, that you don’t mind getting ink on, though we can also provide aprons.

Age 16+ (no exceptions)

Due to an extremely small admin team, the time it takes up and the financial difficulty it causes the HSA, we are unable to offer refunds or replacements for orders made in error or a changed mind. Please make sure you check the date BEFORE placing the order.

We are unable to offer refunds or replacements for forgotten/missed sessions which are the responsibility of the purchaser.

In the extremely rare case where a refund is issued there will be a service charge taken for our time and the payment/booking charges we have incurred.

If it's our fault:

If you're unable to attend the session through a mishap/error on our part, we will make sure you are provided with a voucher to attend any forthcoming sessions of the same type - alternatively we will issue a refund.

The income from the events is used to pay for our brilliant tutors, models & photographers, the rent on our studio and of course to pay the salaries of the hard working folk behind the scenes who put all our workshops and events on.
