A one-day Workshop 

Arrive & settle in: 10.15am (Please arrive no earlier than 10.15am)

Class timing: 10.30am -4.30pm

(with a break for lunch)

During this Basic Drawing Skills for Beginners Workshop you’ll be learning so much more than you'll expect to & go home with a lot more confidence to get drawing on your own!  

We'll spend the morning talking about all the things you might want to know about drawing - we'll chat through materials, different types of paper, all the great tools you can use - then we'll have a go with some exercises for you to warm up and get a feel for some of those things we'e been talking about. the aim is to lead you in to drawing slowly but surely, building your confidence as we go. I'm open to questions, I'm very patient and I really do understand how frustrating it can feel. I've been teaching students, of all capabilities, to draw for a decade now and I feel pretty confident that I can answer any questions you may have.

In the afternoon, we'll put all our knowledge to good practice by drawing from chosen references with different materials and paper - as daunting as that may sound now - after a morning of learning some great skills, tips and techniques, you'll be more than able to handle it!

You will end the day bursting with new information and an excitement for the next drawing you're going to make!

This course welcomes all levels of adult student (16+).   There's no need to bring anything - all materials are provided.

Laurel Studio is small (but perfectly formed) which means the amount of students is capped at 6 per class - this may mean that these sessions sell out fairly quickly, please be aware of this when thinking about booking your space 😊

Due to an extremely small admin team of 1, the time it takes up and the financial difficulty it causes, I am unable to offer refunds / transfers to another session / gift vouchers for orders made in error, changed plans or a changed mind. Please bear this in mind BEFORE placing an order.

I am unable to offer refunds / transfers to another session / gift vouchers for forgotten/missed sessions which are the responsibility of the purchaser.

In the extremely rare case where a refund is issued there will have to be a service charge taken for my time and the payment/booking charges I will have incurred.

If it's my fault:

If you're unable to attend the session through a mishap/error on my part, I will make sure you are provided with a voucher to attend any forthcoming sessions of the same type - alternatively I will issue a refund or find another solution.

The income from all my sessions is used to pay for my time, models, utitlities, business related charges, materials & overheads.
