A one-day Workshop

Using over 25 years of artistic experience, I've put together a glorious, in-person, SUMMER SCHOOL of WORKSHOPS - perfect for anyone wanting to know the basics of different art techniques, improve on rusty skills or for someone who just enjoys creating with other people in a friendly, artistic environment.

During this Learn to Draw with Coloured Pencils Workshop you’ll be learning so much more than you'll expect to!  

If you thought colour pencils were exclusively for children's colouring-in - then I have some wonderful news for you!  

Join me for this gentle & super fun introduction to one of the most versatile, vibrant & FUN materials to draw with - get to grips with colour theory (including how to create & understand your own colour wheel), how to choose & blend colours perfectly & finally how to put it all together to create a bright, bold & beautiful drawing!  I will talk you through materials, how to use them, what paper works best with colour pencils & LOTS of other juicy experiments & information.  This is for beginners as well as rusty artists, so don't think you're 'not good enough' to take part - that's exactly the type of student this is designed for!!

There will be LOTS of fun exercises to take part in, demo's and opportunity for questions - all of which will give you the confidence to leave at the end of the day, with at least one drawing to be proud of!  You will go home, pooped, but bursting with new information, a completely new understanding of how fun it is to get your sketchbook out and an excitement for the marvelous piece of artwork you're going to make next!

This course welcomes all levels of adult student (18+), great for first-time artists, 'rusty' artists and accomplished artists alike.   There's no need to bring anything - all materials are provided.

Laurel Studio is small (but perfectly formed) which means the amount of students is capped at 6 per class - this may mean that these sessions sell out fairly quickly, please be aware of this when thinking about booking your space 😊

Due to an extremely small admin team of 1, the time it takes up and the financial difficulty it causes, I am unable to offer refunds / transfers to another session / gift vouchers for orders made in error, changed plans or a changed mind. Please bear this in mind BEFORE placing an order.

I am unable to offer refunds / transfers to another session / gift vouchers for forgotten/missed sessions which are the responsibility of the purchaser.

In the extremely rare case where a refund is issued there will have to be a service charge taken for my time and the payment/booking charges I will have incurred.

If it's my fault:

If you're unable to attend the session through a mishap/error on my part, I will make sure you are provided with a voucher to attend any forthcoming sessions of the same type - alternatively I will issue a refund or find another solution.

The income from all my sessions is used to pay for my time, models, utitlities, business related charges, materials & overheads.
