XMAS Window Art on Acetate - POLAR BEAR

It's been a year of rainbows displayed in windows and now lets step it up a gear by creating a beautiful piece of window art that you can display proudly and spread a bit of winter cheer to everyone who sees it! The best bit? It's all done on acetate so no washing windows in January - simply take it down and store away til next year!

HSA's resident illustrator Holly is a bit of a wiz at window painting and translated this skill onto acetate as a way of sharing her window art with others to display in their own homes. It's hugely fun and because you are working back to front, it's a great little mind bender too!

This year, more than ever, we need to spread that cheer to those far and near and this is just the thing to do the job. It really couldn't be easier too because we have teamed up with the brilliant Jackson's Art, online art suppliers to put together everything you need for this session! 

What will we make?

You will be making a single A2 sized piece of window art on acetate using acrylic paints. We've included an extra sheet of acetate in your kit so you can take those new skills and keep creating after the session! 

In this session we will be making a gorgeous polar bear painted illustration drawing inspiration in it's colouring from the northern lights - pink and turquois on a polar bear? Yes please!

To take part:

All you need to do is register with Zoom to create an account, then you can be learning to your hearts content for 2 whole hours.  Zoom is free and it's really pretty easy to navigate, it's being used the world over for meetings, online yoga sessions, guitar lessons and of course ART CLASSES!

Once you have paid for this session, you will get an email from us with very clear and easy to follow instructions on how to join in. You can join in alone, you can arrange to virtually 'meet up' with friends & family or you can make friends with the lovely people who are also joining in on the day. You’ll need a computer or tablet with good internet connection.

What else do you need to know?

Please wear suitable clothing, that you don’t mind getting paint on - acrylic paint sticks!

All resources will be posted to you ahead of the workshop.
