Fiona Gurney

Fiona trained a long time ago as a weaver at West Surrey College of Art and Design (now University of the Creative Arts) and hasn’t touched a loom since graduating. Instead she has, over the last 10 years, developed a mosaic making business - designing and creating everything from large scale public work to jewellery. Most recently she has focused on the use of old Staffordshire china in her work, responding to the graphic qualities of producers including J&G Meakin, Kathie Winkle and Susie Cooper. She teaches regular workshops in Lincolnshire and continues to rummage for broken pots and take on new design challenges.
