EXPLORING CHARACTER with COLOUR,
A WORKSHOP
In this SPECIAL 2.5hour Online Animal Life Drawing session we'll be focussing on Capturing and expressing the CHARACTER of our subjects. Tutor Holly Surplice will be guiding you through a series of fun exercises, dialogue, oh and COLOUR!
As an Illustrator, Character features heavily in Holly's work so she is just the person to guide you to bring out expression and expressiveness in your own artwork. She's got big plans designed so get ready to embrace colour and get creative with character!
WHAT TO EXPECT
We'll be drawing from photographs during this session and focussing in on those characteristic details that bring the subject to life.
Our tutor Holly will be suggesting exercises and engaging in conversation to help bring your characters to life as you draw. We'll explore the use of colour as a form of character expression so please bring colour media of your choice to the party!
WHAT TO BRING
Lots of colour and lots of paper!
You may like to work entirely in your sketchbook, or, on larger sheets of paper, it really is personal preference on this occasion. The same goes for your colour materials, bring vibrant colours of any kind - ink, pencil, paint, crayon...flowers from the garden to smoosh into the paper...anything goes!
